Our history

From review notebook to concierge house

2014 — The first review

Founder Ava Whitmore checks into twelve Sydney five-star properties in six months and publishes the notes that become the Norvelles method: rate what a guest actually feels.

2016 — The desk opens

Readers start asking us to book what we describe. The first concierge desk opens in Parramatta; the 24/7 guest line is born the same year.

2019 — Crown Sydney partnership track

As Barangaroo rises, Norvelles begins its Crown Towers file — the longest review project in our history, updated every season since.

2022 — Wentworthville headquarters

The team moves to 50 Smith St, adds an events production arm and passes 2,000 curated itineraries.

2026 — Eleven specialists, one standard

8,400+ guests hosted, a 97% rebooking rate and the same rule from day one: every promise is confirmed in writing.
